PRS S2 Standard 24

Price range: $1,449.00 through $1,759.00
With its solid build and versatile electronics platform, the S2 Standard 24 is a true player’s guitar that handles as well as it sounds whether it’s plugged straight into your amp or run through your pedal board. The S2 Standard 24’s solid mahogany body and set neck give this guitar a distinctive resonance and powerful sustain, and when mahogany’s rich, round, warm tone meets the 58/15 LT “S” pickups, there are plenty of clear highs and strong mids to be dialed in. The subtle aesthetic of mahogany and vintage vibe of pickguard-mounted electronics give the S2 Standard 24 an understated look for players who prefer a stripped-down approach to their music. The original PRS Standard, introduced in 1987, evolved from Paul Smith’s pre-factory all-mahogany guitars. Reimagined here for the S2 Series, the Standard 24 is gig-ready with a price tag to match.

Dustie Waring’s signature model starts with the PRS CE 24 bolt-on platform and includes a satin-finished maple neck, maple fretboard, a slightly modified Pattern Thin neck carve (Waring’s carve is slightly thinner front to back), and - unique to this limited edition – a hardtail bridge. Made with superior quality Alnico 5 magnets and a special winding technique, DW Gen 2 Tomahawks have plenty of output and big bottom end while remaining articulate and clear - a notable quality for high gain pickups. Paired with a volume and tone control and 5-way blade pickup selector, the DW CE 24 Hardtail is menacing, sophisticated, and addictive to play. “Having a hardtail option of my signature model is incredibly important to me. This setup is something I use all the time, and PRS has once again knocked it out of the park with their attention to detail. Doesn’t hurt that these guitars just look amazing!” – Dustie Waring, Between the Buried & Me The DW CE 24 Hardtail Limited Edition comes with satin black hardware and is available in six color options, including Waring’s signature finish: Waring Burst. PRS CE24

$2,629.00
Since the dawn of rock and roll, the snap and response that comes from a bolt-on neck guitar has been an essential part of the mix. These attributes have, in turn, become essential to many players trying to tell their story through music. The CE 24 pairs PRS’s traditional body combination of the mahogany back and maple top with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fretboard. The neck sports a Pattern Thin carve and satin nitro finish for a natural, addictive feel. To further maximize the guitar’s inherent tone and clarity, the CE 24 features PRS 85/15 pickups, which Paul designed to have remarkable clarity as well as extended high and low end. The electronics consist of a volume and push/pull tone control with 3-way toggle switch for a total of six classic sounds. The original CE was introduced in 1988 and offered players PRS design and quality with the added snap and sparkle of traditional bolt-on guitars.
